Solicitor (3+PQE) – Policy Coverage

About the role

Keoghs LLP is looking for an experienced solicitor to join its Property Risks and Coverage team. You will work on high‑value property damage and insurance coverage claims, handling your own caseload while supporting senior lawyers on complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload from inception to resolution, including drafting applications and court documents.
• Assist lead lawyers on large, complex claims by reviewing documents, preparing bespoke coverage advice, and drafting instructions for counsel and experts.
• Conduct legal research, document searches and thorough investigations to support litigation strategy.
• Participate in client meetings, strategy sessions and conferences, taking notes and following up on actions.
• Engage in settlement negotiations, ADR and round‑table discussions where appropriate.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (FILEX) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Previous experience in defendant property insurance litigation.
• Strong understanding of product liability, breach of contract, negligence, property law and insurance coverage issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines.
