Solicitor – Agricultural Litigation (Bristol)

About the role

Join Birketts LLP's dedicated agriculture team in Bristol as a Solicitor focused on agricultural and rural litigation. You will work alongside a Partner, Legal Director and experienced associates to provide comprehensive legal support to farmers, landed estates, landowners, developers and agri‑business specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of agricultural and rural disputes, including farming partnership and succession matters.
• Provide early case assessment and strategic negotiation for clients.
• Handle mediation, arbitration and court proceedings across issues such as landlord‑tenant and agricultural tenancy disputes, rights of way, restrictive covenants, boundary matters, contract claims and judicial review challenges.
• Advise clients on the full spectrum of agricultural litigation, from initial advice through to resolution.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience in agricultural or rural litigation.
• Ability to work independently and manage cases from inception to resolution.
• Strong understanding of legal frameworks governing farming partnerships, tenancy disputes and related property issues.
