Solicitor – Professional Negligence (Mid‑Level) – Liverpool

About the role

We are supporting a prestigious L500 law firm in Liverpool to expand its Professional Negligence team. The successful solicitor will manage a diverse caseload, including high‑net‑worth claims across solicitors’, construction, surveyors’ and accountants’ negligence.

Key responsibilities

• Handle own professional negligence cases from inception to resolution.
• Support the Head of Department on larger, complex matters.
• Work on both long‑standing and newly opened claims, including multi‑million‑pound disputes.
• Collaborate with central marketing and new‑business teams to develop the practice.

Required profile

• Grade A or B solicitor capable of managing an independent caseload.
• Experience in Professional Negligence or general civil litigation/dispute resolution.
• Familiarity with the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Ability to meet time‑recording and fee‑recovery targets.

Required skills

• Proclaim or other case‑management system proficiency.
