Solution Architect – Dynamics 365 Business Central

About the role

The consultant will support the Lead Architect and programme team by delivering hands‑on solution design for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related ecosystems. You will translate technical ambiguity into clear design artefacts that enable confident build, test, migration and cut‑over activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide solution design support across strategic programme deliverables, ensuring designs are complete and aligned to business outcomes.
• Support design decisions for Business Central and LS Central, covering POS, stock, finance, membership and operational processes.
• Review and progress integration designs involving APIs, iPaaS/middleware, data mappings, error handling and operational monitoring.
• Assist with legacy NAV and data migration dependencies, including bridge/interface considerations and validation approaches.
• Collaborate with third‑party systems such as Integra, Ventrata, CRM, Saffron/Civica, Staci/3PL, TrueCommerce/EDI.
• Ensure design outputs are clear for test planning, E2E testing, UAT preparation and defect triage.
• Support reporting and data design, including Business Central reporting outputs and operational reporting requirements.
• Identify unresolved decisions, assumptions, dependencies, risks and impacts.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work at pace and translate technical ambiguity into actionable design artefacts.
• Experience supporting solution architecture functions within large‑scale ERP or finance transformation programmes.
