Solution Architect – London (5 days onsite)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established multinational organisation, is looking for a hands‑on Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of innovative e‑commerce and API‑middleware solutions. The role is based in Wembley, London and requires five days on‑site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑level and low‑level designs (HLDs/LLDs) for DTS, EPOS and other strategic workstreams.
• Conduct vendor code and architecture audits, enforcing the “Stable‑by‑Design” framework.
• Lead data integration between legacy IBM iSeries (DB2/RPG) systems and modern API middleware.
• Investigate and remediate recurring platform failures, latency issues and data inconsistencies.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation in Confluence, ensuring version control and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solution architecture with a focus on e‑commerce platforms or API/middleware ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to migrate legacy monolithic systems to containerised micro‑services.
• Strong analytical skills to investigate platform failures and deliver structural remediation.
