Solution Design Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Solution Design Manager to lead the design of innovative energy systems from concept through to project delivery. The role will shape technical strategy, support business growth and deliver low-carbon solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design cutting‑edge energy systems such as district heating, heat pumps, combined heat and power (CHP) and low‑carbon networks.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams from concept to contract award.
• Conduct energy audits, identify efficiency improvements and drive net‑zero solutions at client sites.
• Act as technical lead on business development, preparing tender packages and winning proposals.
• Manage technical and commercial viability, approvals and risk mitigation.
• Build and challenge supplier relationships to optimise scope, cost and schedule.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion innovation.

Required profile

• Degree level education in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
