Solutions Architect

About the role

Turn IT On is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its Projects team. The role blends technical pre‑sales expertise with hands‑on project delivery, supporting schools across England in adopting secure and effective technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical discovery sessions to capture customer requirements and project goals.
• Produce solution designs, technical documentation, cost estimates and implementation plans.
• Support project delivery, ensuring solutions meet scope, quality and timeline commitments.
• Act as the technical point of contact throughout delivery, resolving queries and guiding teams.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Service Desk, Procurement and Sales to keep projects on track.
• Create and maintain clear technical artefacts, including diagrams and handover material.
• Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and quality considerations.
• Assist with service transition and handover to operational support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, standards and solutions.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge combined with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in technical pre‑sales, solution design, project delivery or technical consultancy.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical, secure and commercially viable solutions.
