Solutions Engineer – Data Platforms & Analytics

About the role

As a Solutions Engineer you will act as the technical lead for ICIS data integration, helping customers embed market intelligence into their analytics, reporting and AI workflows. Working closely with Account Managers you will guide customers through discovery, solution design and technical validation across complex sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner on Technical Strategy – lead discovery sessions to translate customer objectives into solution approaches that deliver measurable business value.
• Navigate the Sales Lifecycle – act as technical lead, qualify stakeholders, define requirements and support proof‑of‑value activities.
• Architect for the Customer AI Landscape – design integration points where ICIS data underpins AI‑driven decision engines.
• Enable the Ecosystem – collaborate with implementation partners and system integrators to optimise data consumption across platforms and pipelines.
• Inform Product Strategy – provide market feedback to shape product road‑maps and delivery capabilities.

Required profile

• Customer‑Facing Authority with proven experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting or sales engineering.
• Commercially minded with the ability to articulate business impact of technical solutions.
• AI‑forward and inquisitive, comfortable discussing LLMs, AI agents and retrieval‑based architectures.
• Technical credibility with hands‑on experience in SQL and Python, API development and modern authentication.
• Data platform fluency, understanding of Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift environments.
