Sound Insulation and Air Tightness Tester

About the role

Our client, a leading building compliance consultancy, is seeking a Sound Insulation and Air Tightness Tester to join their growing team in London. You will carry out UKAS‑accredited Part L air‑tightness tests on a variety of residential and commercial projects, producing certification reports and advising clients on remedial actions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform air‑tightness (Part L) testing on new and existing residential and commercial developments across the UK.
• Prepare accurate test reports and certificates within agreed timeframes.
• Provide practical advice to clients on any required remedial works.
• Survey buildings to verify compliance with current Building Regulations.
• Manage your own workload and travel to multiple sites independently.
• Represent the company professionally while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Required profile

• Approximately 2 years of experience conducting air‑tightness testing.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations related to air‑tightness.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, customer‑focused attitude with the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
