Sound Supervisor

About the role

Sky is looking for a Sound Supervisor to lead audio production for its own channels and third‑party services. You will ensure the highest quality sound mix and manage the studio communication systems that support live and remote events.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional audio services to Sky and external clients.
• Collaborate with the studio team to create a balanced programme sound mix.
• Set up and maintain studio communications systems for smooth production.
• Plan audio requirements with production teams for each event.
• Assist in the management of facilities and equipment, reporting any technical failures.
• Supervise and mentor the sound crew, identifying training needs.
• Follow Sky’s health and safety policies and report issues to the H&S representative.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic with a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent sound supervision.
• In‑depth knowledge of broadcast audio equipment such as Riedel, RP1 and Calrec desks.
• Experience as a Sound Engineer in broadcasting, familiar with remote production and IP delivery.
• Highly motivated, committed to continuous self‑improvement.
• Effective communicator who demonstrates resilience and embraces innovative solutions.
