About the role
We are seeking a motivated Sous Chef to join a busy restaurant in Croydon. The role supports the Head Chef in delivering high‑quality service and offers live‑in accommodation if required.
Key responsibilities
- Assist and support the Head Chef in daily service delivery.
- Maintain high culinary standards using fresh produce.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Manage food costs and inventory control.
- Coordinate weekend service periods, the busiest times for the venue.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a restaurant chef, preferably in a sous‑chef capacity.
- Experience in function or event catering.
- Willingness to work weekends.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK.

- Kitchen management.
- Food preparation with fresh produce.
- Health and safety procedures.
- Cost control and inventory management.

- Competitive salary of £35,000 per year.
