Special Educational Needs Coordinator (Non-Class Based)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to lead the SEND provision in a welcoming primary school in Bromley. This role sits at the heart of an inclusive school community, shaping strategy and ensuring every pupil receives the support they need.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the school's SEND provision across all year groups.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to embed an inclusive approach throughout the school.
• Support teachers, coordinate targeted interventions and monitor progress.
• Deliver small‑group intervention sessions and provide occasional cover teaching.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• NASENCo qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience leading SEND provision, preferably in a primary setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive practice.
• Committed, enthusiastic leader focused on achieving the best outcomes for every child.
