Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher – Gravesend

About the role

We are partnering with a specialist SEND school in Gravesend to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher. The position starts in September 2026 (or ASAP) and offers a long‑term, potentially permanent, placement within a supportive, child‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to each pupil’s EHCP.
• Teach small classes with strong TA support, covering a range of needs including ASD, communication difficulties and complex needs.
• Collaborate closely with SENCOs, therapists and other support staff to ensure holistic provision.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing development of the SEND programme.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Minimum of one year UK teaching experience.
• Previous experience in a SEND setting is desirable.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
