Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

About the role

We are partnering with a progressive specialist school in Bristol that supports pupils with autism, SEMH, moderate and severe learning difficulties, and communication needs. The school seeks a dedicated SEN Teacher to plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet each pupil’s EHCP targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with individual EHCP goals.
• Support pupils with autism, SEMH and a range of additional needs.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies as required.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral staff and families.
• Promote emotional wellbeing and positive relationships.
• Create an engaging, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Contribute to annual reviews, assessments and development plans.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Flexibility, resilience and commitment to inclusive education.
