About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join our specialist setting in St Albans. This permanent, full‑time position starts in September and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on pupils with additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to SEN pupils.
- Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
- Create a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to maximise outcomes.
- Monitor, assess and adapt teaching strategies based on student progress.
- Promote pupils' emotional wellbeing, confidence and personal development.
- Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with special educational needs students.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour management.
- Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
