Special Needs Learning Support Assistant (Primary)

About the role

Join a welcoming primary special school in Barnet as a Learning Support Assistant. You will work with pupils aged 4‑11 who have a range of additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils individually and in small groups throughout the school day.
• Deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities.
• Promote communication, independence and social development.
• Assist with sensory regulation, emotional wellbeing and personal care when required.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care or youth work experience welcomed).
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
