About the role
Join a welcoming primary special school in Barnet as a Learning Support Assistant. You will work with pupils aged 4‑11 who have a range of additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils individually and in small groups throughout the school day.
- Deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities.
- Promote communication, independence and social development.
- Assist with sensory regulation, emotional wellbeing and personal care when required.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care or youth work experience welcomed).
- A calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
- Graduates considering a career in education are encouraged to apply.
