Specialist Clinical Pharmacist & Teacher (50/50 split)

About the role

This position combines clinical pharmacy leadership at Good Hope Hospital with teaching responsibilities at Aston University. You will spend half your week delivering patient‑focused pharmacy services and the other half shaping the next generation of pharmacists.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical pharmacy service delivery on wards, including prescription screening, medicines reconciliation and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Line‑manage a team of pharmacists and supervise trainee pharmacists.
• Deliver lectures, workshops and placement supervision for MPharm students.
• Develop teaching materials, mark assessments and act as personal tutor.
• Pursue clinical and pedagogic research in an area of interest.

Required profile

• Solid experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Enthusiasm for developing junior staff and students.
• Willingness to obtain Fellowship of Advance HE if not already held.
• Ability to balance clinical and academic duties.
