Specialist Field Engineer

About the role

This Specialist Field Engineer position supports major retail and hospitality operations across the UK. You will combine high‑level fault resolution with project delivery, acting as a go‑to technical expert for EPoS, networking, WiFi and infrastructure technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Handle escalated technical calls and complex fault scenarios.
• Install and configure EPoS, IT hardware, networking and WiFi solutions.
• Perform site surveys for installations and upgrades.
• Carry out planned maintenance and proactive service visits.
• Diagnose faults to component level or replace full units as needed.
• Support project work independently or within a team.
• Coach and mentor other engineers.
• Collaborate closely with planning and project teams.

Required profile

• Experience as a field‑based EPoS or IT Engineer.
• Knowledge of hardware, peripherals and IP networking.
• Proven ability in installations and break‑fix environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Clear communication and proactive organisational abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
