Specialist Hygiene Technician – Birmingham

About the role

Rentokil is seeking a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Birmingham team. You will deliver a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services to commercial and institutional premises, working independently and managing your own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bio‑hazard cleaning, flood water damage remediation, infection control, and police or prison cell cleaning.
• Carry out sharps removal, trauma and crime‑scene cleaning, as well as technical tasks such as factory, high‑level and silo cleaning.
• Respond reactively to service requests in a fast‑paced environment, often on an on‑call rota.
• Provide expert advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, proactive and able to work flexible patterns.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces; DBS check may be required.

Required skills

• Use of specialised hygiene cleaning equipment.
