Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

Rentokil is seeking a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon branch, covering South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services to diverse premises, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Provide bio‑hazard cleaning, flood water damage cleanup, infection control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal, trauma and crime‑scene cleaning.
• Carry out technical cleaning tasks such as factory cleans, high‑level work, silo cleaning, and other specialised services.
• Work reactively in a fast‑paced environment where assignments can change weekly.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and receive enhanced pay for on‑call duties.
• Offer expert advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt working patterns to business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• May be required to pass a DBS check depending on the assignment.
