Specialist Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Bradford)

About the role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join its Adarna House rehabilitation service in Bradford. You will work within a multidisciplinary team supporting men with mental illness and autism spectrum disorder, helping them develop independent living skills and prepare for community life.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions for service users.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create holistic care and treatment plans.
• Support the development of daily living, social and vocational skills in a safe, community‑facing environment.
• Contribute to discharge planning and promote transition to less restrictive settings.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to professional standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC (Band 5 or Band 6 experience).
• Experience working with mental health service users and individuals on the autism spectrum.
• Ability to work autonomously while being clinically supervised by the regional lead OT.
• Commitment to person‑centred, holistic care.
