About the role
We are seeking a registered pharmacist to join the Pharmacotherapy team serving Aberdeenshire HSCP. The role involves supporting GP practices and community hospitals, ensuring safe and cost‑effective medicines management across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Provide pharmacotherapy services to GP practices and community hospitals.
- Promote quality prescribing in line with local and national guidelines.
- Conduct medicines management activities, including audits and reviews.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Offer remote support where appropriate and attend on‑site visits as required.
Required profile
- Registered pharmacist with a community or hospital pharmacy background.
- Good communication, interpersonal and time‑management abilities.
- Experience in primary‑care medicines management and audit is advantageous.
- Independent Prescriber qualification is a plus.
- Full driving licence is essential.
Required skills
- Knowledge of UK medicines management guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
