Specialist Pharmacist – Women’s & Children’s

About the role

The University Hospitals of Leicester are seeking a Specialist Pharmacist to deliver clinical pharmacy services for women’s and children’s patients. You will join a forward‑thinking pharmacy team, work closely with the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the Trust’s strategic goals for 2023‑2030.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to wards and other areas, focusing on women’s and children’s specialties.
• Support the training and development of pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to maintain high standards of patient care.
• Participate in evening, on‑call, bank holiday and weekend rotas as required.
• Contribute to the Women & Children Clinical Management Groups and help embed health‑equality initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with experience in women’s and/or children’s health.
• Ability to work within an NHS Trust environment and align with the Trust’s strategic goals.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and independent prescribing.

Required skills

• Independent Prescribing.
• Clinical pharmacy practice in women’s and children’s care.
