Specialist Security Advisor

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Specialist Security Advisor to join its Real Estate Advisory team. You will work on high‑impact capital programmes across sectors such as life sciences, defence, data‑centres and infrastructure, providing expert guidance on security risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients, architects, engineers and suppliers to identify and manage security risks throughout all programme phases.
• Develop and deliver mitigation solutions against identified security threats.
• Review and assure architecture, design and implementation to pinpoint risks.
• Provide clear, structured advice to strengthen security posture.
• Participate in design‑assurance sessions to manage and mitigate security risks.
• Integrate security considerations into complex programmes from the outset.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in security consulting or as a senior security contact within large‑scale organisations.
• Strong background in information security, supply‑chain security and cyber security.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Information security strategy development and governance.
• Knowledge of security assurance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GovAssure, NIST CSF and NIS2.
• Experience with cyber security standards and implementation.
• Supply‑chain security assurance, governance and stakeholder engagement.
