Specialist SEND Teacher (Hybrid) – £30-36/hr

About the role
South West Learning is seeking specialist teachers to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the South West. Working flexibly in homes, schools, or community settings, you will help students achieve measurable progress in core subjects.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver personalised lessons in Maths, English, Science or other subjects as needed.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet EHCP, SEMH, MLD or SLD requirements.
- Collaborate with families, schools and external professionals to support each child’s learning plan.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and report outcomes regularly.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Minimum 2 years experience teaching SEND, SEMH, MLD or SLD learners.
- Ability to teach core subjects or willingness to develop those skills.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive learning environments.
- DBS Update Service registration (support provided).
