Specialist Speech & Language Therapist – Band 6/7

About the role

Join Cygnet Hospital Harrow to provide specialist speech and language therapy for individuals with complex mental health needs and autism spectrum disorder. You will lead a dedicated SLT team, manage a fixed caseload and contribute to the development of a new service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred SLT assessments and intensive interventions for complex cases.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the SLT team on site.
• Develop, evaluate and continuously improve the new Spring Services provision.
• Promote an inclusive communication environment and support bespoke care packages.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to reduce challenging behaviours and enhance patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with specialist or highly specialist experience (Band 6/7 level).
• Proven ability to work with complex mental health and autism populations.
• Leadership experience within an SLT team.
• Flexibility for full‑time or part‑time (minimum 3 days) work.
