Specialist Study Skills Tutor (Autistic Support)

About the role
Randstad Student Support is seeking a Specialist Study Skills Tutor to provide one‑to‑one academic support for autistic students at the University of Chichester. The role focuses on developing personalised learning plans that promote independence and effective study strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver individual learning plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Coach students on organisation, time‑management and research skills.
- Assist with reading, writing and referencing techniques.
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies to ensure academic success.
- Maintain confidentiality and report concerns to Randstad promptly.
Required profile
- Minimum undergraduate degree (Level 6) and a recognised teaching qualification.
- Extensive training in adult autism – either 6 National Autistic Society modules (non‑medical helper) or the Optimum Training Course on Autism and ADHD in Higher Education.
- Commitment to the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) framework set by the DfE.
- Professional attitude, punctuality and reliability.
Required skills
- Knowledge of autism support strategies and non‑medical helper training.
- Experience creating and implementing individual learning plans.
