Specialist Support Coach

About the role

This role is dedicated to supporting learners with additional needs in an inclusive school environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to remove barriers, build confidence and help students achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1, small‑group and in‑class interventions for learners with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
• Manage a caseload, supporting attendance, study skills, English and maths progress, and overall engagement.
• Contribute to EHCP outcomes and monitor positive learner progression.
• Assist students in developing independence, confidence and essential life skills.
• Adapt support strategies to meet individual learning requirements.
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff and support teams to ensure student success.
• Promote an inclusive, safe and encouraging learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience supporting individuals with additional learning needs.
• Ability to manage a caseload and deliver personalised interventions.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with teachers and support staff.
• Commitment to fostering independence and confidence in learners.

• Salary £23,247 – £23,734 per year (full‑time equivalent £25,304 – £25,835).
