Specialist Support Worker – Crisis Care

About the role
Join Randstad Care’s specialist team delivering high‑level, trauma‑informed support to vulnerable young people. This full‑time, temporary position is based onsite in Kingston Upon Thames and focuses on crisis management and holistic care.
Key responsibilities
- De‑escalate heightened behaviours using proven PMVA techniques.
- Provide trauma‑informed care, understanding the underlying reasons for behaviours.
- Manage appointments, family contact and structured daily activities.
- Produce high‑quality incident and clinical reports to inform future care plans.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 months paid UK experience in a residential or crisis setting.
- Proven ability to de‑escalate aggression, self‑harm or destructive behaviours with a calm, non‑judgemental approach.
- Strong grasp of professional boundaries and safe‑touch protocols.
- Resilience to handle stressful shifts and consistent reliability.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Full UK driving licence with business insurance (highly preferred).
