Specialty Doctor – GUM/Contraception (London)

About the role

The Specialty Doctor will provide sexual health services, delivering GUM and contraception care at 56 Dean Street, a busy London clinic within Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The role offers a supportive, educational environment with evening clinics but no on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver routine and specialist GUM and contraceptive services to a diverse patient population.
• Provide HIV management and related sexual health care.
• Attend departmental teaching sessions and educational activities.
• Participate in audit and research projects to improve service quality.
• Work scheduled evening clinics as required.

Required profile

• Registered medical doctor eligible to practise in the UK.
• Experience or training in sexual health, GUM or contraception preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care and continuous learning.
• Willingness to engage in audit, research and educational activities.

Required skills

• Clinical competence in GUM and contraception.
• Knowledge of HIV management.
• Basic audit and research methodology.
