Specialty Doctor – Special Care

About the role

The Specialty Doctor – Special Care will deliver high‑quality dental and clinical services across King’s College Hospital’s Denmark Hill site and, as needed, at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on patient‑centred care, research, and teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑class clinical care, including IV sedation, general anaesthesia and new‑patient assessment clinics.
• Lead and support staff within the specialty, ensuring effective teamwork and service delivery.
• Develop and sustain teaching and research activities in partnership with King’s College London.
• Follow Trust procedures, clinical governance standards and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Contribute to business planning, service development and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified medical professional registered with the GMC.
• Experience in delivering specialist dental or oral health care within an NHS setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, managerial and academic colleagues.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, teaching and research.
