Specification Sales Manager – Lighting Products

About the role

The Specification Sales Manager – Lighting Products will lead the promotion and sale of a high‑end range of lighting solutions to key public and private sector clients across the East Anglia region. You will be responsible for building relationships with local authorities, healthcare trusts, M&E consultants and contractors, driving revenue from both medium and large‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a sales territory covering Peterborough, Northamptonshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, generating approximately £600k of annual turnover.
• Identify and pursue specification opportunities in universities, hospitals and other commercial developments, with average order values of £10k‑£50k and occasional projects exceeding £1m.
• Present product specifications, technical data and design support to architects, lighting designers and end‑users.
• Negotiate contracts, prepare quotations and close sales while maintaining accurate pipeline reporting.
• Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in lighting specification sales, preferably within the UK construction or facilities market.
• Strong organisational skills, high energy and a proactive, trustworthy attitude.
• Willingness to continuously learn product ranges and industry trends.

What we offer

• Base salary £55,000‑£65,000 per year.
• Uncapped commission potential of around £14,000 annually.
