Speech and Language Practitioner for Children

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to provide flexible, high‑impact support to children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans. The role involves delivering assessments and therapeutic interventions in homes and educational settings across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) input on an ad‑hoc basis, often spanning an academic year.
• Conduct therapy assessments and deliver targeted interventions.
• Travel to children’s homes and school or college environments to meet service users.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to EHCP documentation.

Required profile

• Current HCPC registration and experience as a UK‑based SALT practitioner.
• Demonstrated child‑centred approach and familiarity with EHCP processes.
• Strong clinical judgement and written communication skills.
• Availability on weekdays for assignments.
