Speech and Language Therapist – Chester (Full‑Time, Term Time Only)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist SEND school in Chester. The permanent, onsite position runs for 39 weeks a year (term‑time only) and offers a small caseload of 6‑7 pupils, allowing focused, hands‑on support.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver specialist speech, language and communication support to children and young people with complex autism and learning difficulties.
- Provide direct and indirect therapy, including the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, occupational therapists, behaviour analysts and other multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), participate in reviews and monitor outcomes.
Required profile
- HCPC‑registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Proven experience supporting pupils with autism and complex needs in a school setting.
- Evidence‑based practitioner confident in delivering therapy.
Required skills
- AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems.
