Sports Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑Time, Term‑time)

About the role

A secondary school in Hounslow is looking for an enthusiastic Sports Assistant to support the PE department during term time. You will help prepare lessons, manage equipment and assist with extra‑curricular sports activities, contributing to a vibrant sporting environment for students.

Key responsibilities

• Assist PE staff with lesson preparation and set‑up of sports equipment.
• Support delivery of science‑based PE coaching sessions and extra‑curricular clubs.
• Maintain, organise and monitor PE equipment and storage areas for safety and efficiency.
• Carry out administrative tasks such as team sheets, risk assessments, and coordination of events and fixtures.
• Drive students and staff to sports fixtures and events using the school minibus or similar vehicle.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Previous experience supporting children through sports or coaching.
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for sport and working with young people.
