Sports Graduate – PE Teacher/Coach (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Sports Graduate to join a secondary school in Lewisham as a Sports Coach within the Physical Education department. This term‑time, temporary position offers the chance to lead PE classes and support young people aged 11‑18.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver PE lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Manage class behaviour according to the school’s behaviour policy.
• Maintain health and safety standards during all activities.
• Provide cover for lessons across other departments when required.
• Demonstrate resilience, confidence and strong behaviour‑management skills.

Required profile

• Experience teaching or coaching sports to young people.
• Relevant qualifications and training for a PE teaching/coaching role.
• Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check and subscription to the DBS Update Service.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
