Sports Lecturer – Further Education (Full‑time/Temporary)

About the role

We are recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Sports Lecturers to deliver courses for well‑established Further Education providers in North London. This role offers the chance to influence learners aspiring to careers in sport, fitness and leisure industries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality sports lessons across a range of levels.
• Teach sport‑related programmes covering sports science, coaching, fitness, anatomy, physiology and industry practices.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports learner achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Sport, Sports Science, Coaching, Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching sport in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
