SQE Tutor (Remote, UK)

About the role

Help shape the next generation of legal professionals by delivering high‑quality teaching, coaching and mentoring to SQE students. You will support learners throughout their journey, ensuring an exceptional learning experience both online and in‑person.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tutoring, coaching and academic support across BARBRI’s SQE and other legal programmes.
• Facilitate workshops, strategy sessions, legal clinics, tutor calls and one‑to‑one student support sessions.
• Assess written and oral work, providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Build strong relationships with students, law firms, corporate sponsors, universities and other partners.
• Collaborate with senior tutors, course leads and cross‑functional teams to enhance the student experience.
• Develop, review and update course materials, assessments and learning resources.
• Utilise BARBRI’s CRM, LMS and other educational technology platforms to track progress and maintain records.
• Deliver webinars, presentations and law‑fair sessions in virtual and in‑person settings.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor and/or Barrister of England and Wales.
• Prior experience in legal education, tutoring, coaching or professional skills development.
• Strong technical legal knowledge across relevant practice areas.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive professional relationships with students and external stakeholders.
