SQL Server Data Migration Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Data Migration Engineer to join a fully‑remote, 12‑month fixed‑term project. The role focuses on delivering bespoke data onboarding, migration and conversion solutions that support critical business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute data migration strategies between SQL Server environments.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Ensure data is transferred accurately, securely and efficiently, performing validation and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and support data transformation initiatives.
• Document migration processes and provide post‑migration support.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering data migration, conversion and onboarding projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while communicating effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with data quality, validation and reconciliation concepts.
