Sr. Applied AI Engineer

About the role

Taktile empowers financial institutions to become AI‑native by building autonomous agents that automate high‑value decisions. As a Senior Applied AI Engineer you will own the creation of generative AI products that solve concrete problems in financial crime and credit risk.

Key responsibilities

• Build reusable AI products: act as product owner, design, develop and deploy robust generative AI agents as configurable solutions for customers.
• Drive scalable value: partner with solution and forward‑deployed engineers on sales and implementation projects, creating templates and reusable components to accelerate activation.
• Product vision and iteration: synthesize customer feedback, iterate on agents, and treat each agent as a product to solve use cases at scale.
• Collaborate with core product: prioritize platform features, act as expert user consultant, and ensure platform capabilities unblock application development.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in data science, software engineering, consulting or product management with customer‑facing responsibilities.
• Strong quantitative background (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics).
• Eagerness to dive into credit underwriting, financial risk assessment and financial crime detection.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from the London or Berlin office at least three days per week.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL query writing.
• REST API integration.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Statistical and machine learning model development.
