Sr QA Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Technician (Batch Release) to join our Birmingham team. You will manage batch release activities, verify Device History Records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while supporting continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Review Device History Records (DHRs) against Device Master Records, manufacturing procedures and ERP data following ALCOA+ principles.
• Confirm that Quality Events, Non‑Conformance Reports and CAPAs are resolved before batch release.
• Maintain GxP, GMP, GDP, MDSAP and IVDR compliance across procedures and documentation.
• Participate in process‑improvement projects, QA standardisation and documentation revisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, deliver training and present quality information.
• Collect, analyse and communicate KPI metrics to monitor operational quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade 5 or above) including English, Maths and Science.
• Previous experience in the medical device industry.
• Strong knowledge of GxP standards – GMP, GDP, MDSAP, IVDR.
• Ability to pass a standard background check and travel locally on rare occasions.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (including Forms, Teams and SharePoint).
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as MasterControl.

What we offer

• £13.94 per hour, full‑time (40 hours/week) for a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.
• Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑17:00 onsite schedule.
