Staff AI Engineer

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly scaling, private‑equity backed data platform business and own the creation of a next‑generation AI‑native data layer. Working directly with the Group CTO, you will shape technical strategy and drive the future of global data products.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deliver a centralized, AI‑native data platform across multiple global datasets.
• Build and scale high‑performance data pipelines, APIs, and data services.
• Deploy AI and automation to improve data quality, enrichment, and verification.
• Collaborate with the CTO on technical strategy, roadmap, and execution.
• Lead technical due diligence on acquisitions and manage post‑acquisition integration.
• Present architecture and strategy to senior leadership and investors.
• Start as a hands‑on individual contributor with the scope to build and lead a team.

Required profile

• 10+ years building production‑grade systems at scale.
• Background as a Staff/Principal Engineer, senior individual contributor, or technical leader in a high‑growth environment.
• Strong hands‑on coding skills in Python, SQL, and TypeScript.
• Experience building large‑scale data platforms, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to operate across architecture, delivery, and executive‑level communication.
• Desirable experience with AI/LLM systems, data enrichment, B2B data products, or hybrid infrastructure environments.
