Staff Engineer – Cloud Platform

About the role

Graphcore is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to join its Cloud Platform team. You will help design, deploy, and operate cloud services that run on cutting‑edge AI hardware, supporting both internal users and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and extend existing OpenStack‑based cloud services.
• Develop and run end‑user services on private and public clouds.
• Automate collection and analysis of observability data to identify and report issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Datacentre Operations to maintain peak performance of AI systems.
• Configure and test new Graphcore AI hardware using Continuous Deployment and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement of cloud operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure, preferably in an IT organisation, datacentre, or cloud provider.
• Hands‑on expertise with Infrastructure‑as‑Code and high‑performance networking/storage.
• Comfort working with pre‑release hardware and software components.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
