Staff Nurse – Community Treatment and Care (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

CTAC West is seeking a registered Staff Nurse to join its Community Treatment and Care team serving the Peebles, Innerleithen and West Linton area. This Band 5 position is part‑time (12 hours per week) on a fixed‑term contract until 31 March 2027, offering family‑friendly hours Monday‑Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to community patients.
• Work autonomously in a busy environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use IT systems for documentation.
• Travel to patient homes or community sites as required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC‑registered) with a commitment to compassionate care.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
• Willingness to undergo full training; prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using standard healthcare IT systems.
