Staff Nurse – Orthopaedic Ward (National Treatment Centre)

About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Treatment Centre Ward for a self‑motivated and enthusiastic registered staff nurse. You will join a multi‑disciplinary team delivering pre‑ and post‑operative care to patients undergoing elective orthopaedic surgery.
Key responsibilities
- Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care to patients on a 33‑bed inpatient orthopaedic ward.
- Deliver care in line with the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathway to support rapid rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with surgeons, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals.
- Rotate between day and night shifts as required.
Required profile
- Registered nurse with a current UK nursing registration.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptable to change and committed to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care.
- Keen interest in orthopaedic nursing; previous orthopaedic experience is advantageous but not essential.
Required skills
- Knowledge of orthopaedic patient care and post‑operative monitoring.
- Familiarity with ERAS protocols.
