Staff Nurse – Rotational Medical Specialties

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary on a full‑time, permanent basis. This rotational role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of medical specialties, developing a broad clinical skill set while delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence‑based care programmes tailored to individual patient needs.
• Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in line with professional and organisational standards.
• Support and empower patients, families and carers to participate in decisions about care and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the supervision and support of students, learners and junior staff.
• Participate in clinical audit, research and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Ensure the safe and effective management of clinical resources, equipment and supplies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC UK PIN.
• Ability to provide high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Sound clinical judgement and commitment to delivering person‑centred care.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence‑based practice.
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
