Staff Nurse – Vaccination Team (21.6 hrs/week)

About the role

The NHS Western Isles is recruiting a Staff Nurse to join its Vaccination Team at the Balivanich Community Clinic. Working 21.6 hours per week on a permanent basis, you will help deliver a safe and efficient vaccination service to residents across the Western Isles.

Key responsibilities

• Administer vaccines to eligible patients in a variety of community settings.
• Collaborate with the Community Nursing Team to ensure equitable access to vaccination services.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to infection‑control protocols.
• Support the vaccination programme during non‑peak periods as required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (Band 5) – newly qualified or about to qualify.
• Willingness to work in a remote island setting.
• Ability to register with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care.
