Staff Nurse – Ward (12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Staff Nurse to join our inpatient ward team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role is based in a modern private hospital and involves caring for patients undergoing surgical procedures throughout their hospital journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, patient‑centred nursing care on a surgical ward.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients undergoing surgery.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changing clinical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments in line with hospital policy and NMC guidelines.
• Collaborate with consultants, allied health professionals and support staff to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult).
• Previous experience on a surgical ward in a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and teamwork.
