Staff Platform Engineer, UK

About the role

We are looking for a curious, rigorous, problem‑hungry platform engineer who also codes, to help scale Ash’s hiring platform. As a Staff Platform Engineer you will own end‑to‑end infrastructure projects, drive automation, and ensure reliability for thousands of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure using infrastructure‑as‑code principles.
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance and reliability issues across the platform.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new features that require new infrastructure components.
• Implement security and compliance best practices for handling personal and confidential data.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of the team’s processes and tooling.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving large‑scale engineering problems.
• Experience working in fast‑growing SaaS environments.
• Ability to work autonomously and ship high‑quality code with minimal oversight.
• Commitment to reliability, security, and operational excellence.
