Stage Technician – Fixed Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Stage Technician to support staging operations at the London Coliseum, ENO storage facilities and touring venues. Working closely with the Head of Stage, Show Managers and Production Managers, you will help deliver high‑quality productions from fit‑ups through rehearsals, performances and change‑overs.

Key responsibilities

• Operate stage equipment and assist with construction, movement and rigging of scenery.
• Carry out fit‑ups, rehearsals, performances, scenic change‑overs, get‑outs and routine maintenance.
• Maintain technical documentation and produce clear cue documentation.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, including compliance with LOLER and PUWER.
• Work at height and lift up to 25 kg as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in technical theatre.
• Strong knowledge of safe manual handling, group lifting and rigging practices, including counterweight fly systems.
• Ability to follow cues accurately and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional attitude, punctuality and proactive, flexible approach.
